Our Story

We met during April 2022 and from the moment our paths crossed, we both had a quiet certainty in our hearts that this was not just a coincidence.

If you ask Duard : The moment Marelize walked into Church, she caught my attention. I remember it like it was yesterday.

If you ask Marelize : True to who Duard is, he boldly approached me after Church one Sunday morning and asked me on a date. I remember the feeling I had when I first saw him, and I recall my grandmother’s words so vividly saying, “that is your husband” .

From that moment, our story began to unfold so beautifully, but our journey had a season of separation were we trusted that God was writing a greater story than what we could see. And in His perfect timing, when the time was right, we found each other again.

Our love story is not just about finding each other—it’s about finding God in every season. It is a testimony of His faithfulness, His restoration, and His promise to bring beauty from ashes. Through it all, we have learned that trusting Him is the foundation of everything we are building together.

And now, by His grace, we step into forever—hand in hand, with Him at the center of it all.
